At I Care Optometry, we
will perform several eye vision tests to offer you the
right diagnose and resolutions for a better eye sight
or vision. The multiple testing requires the screening
of a patient's eyes for retinal and corneal disorders.
After the multiple testing, Dr. Karen Hsueh will review
the test results with the patient. She will explain
what prescription is best for the patient.
Everyone should get an eye vision and health examination
each year, even if you are still seeing well. Many diseases
of the eye such as glaucoma, ocular tumors, and retinal
detachment can develop without visual symptoms. Maintain
your eyes as you would your physical health or teeth...have
them checked annually!

As a member of American Optometric Association, Dr.
Karen Hsueh follows the following procedureds for a
comprehensive eye exam.
-
Review of your general health, medications
you may be taking, working environment, hobbies, etc.
You will also be asked to describe any vision problems
you may be experiencing.
- A test
of your ability to see clearly at all distances.
-
A test for your eyes’ ability to focus
light rays exactly on the retina from a distance and
close-up.
-
A test for eye coordination and muscle control.
- An internal and external examination of your
eyes for signs of possible disorders, such as cataracts
or retinal problems.
-
Measures the fluid pressure in the eye and
is an important test in detecting glaucoma.
